Edward Shen – Vice President
Shih Edward Shen was born and raised in Taiwan and is now a prominent Asian-American entrepreneur and community leader in the Washington Metropolitan Area. He has over 40 years of experience with live seafood products, business ownership, marketing, restaurant management and budget control. He is now a representative for US-Asia Links, LLC located in Rockville, Maryland.
He is the founder and CEO of Washington Chinese Gourmet Association and works to promote Chinese cultural awareness through food. He is also the owner of the Modern International Enterprises (MIE Group), an International public relations consulting company. He has successfully managed a family-style restaurant, which was regarded as one of the top seafood restaurants in the D.C. Metropolitan area.
Mr. Shen currently serves as a board member on the Republic of China Veterans Association of Metropolitan Washington D.C. He also serves as a board member of the International Leadership Foundation Washington DC Chapter. Mr. Shen has catered in many places, including the Maryland State Governor’s Annual Lunar New Year Celebration for 11 years and organized the 2016 Congressional Reception showcasing the Taiwanese Art of Culture. In 2018, he has successfully helped the US Department of Transportation’s Lunar New Year Celebration. He has received numerous awards including the Presidential Volunteer Award, a citation from Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen recognizing his leadership and work in Asian community; he has also was recognized by US Secretary Elaine Chao for his dedication in promoting Asian culture; he was awarded by the Department of Commerce for his minority business services.
He is currently living in Montgomery County Maryland with his wife, Corinna Yi-Yuan Kuo Shen.
