Brig Gen (Ret) TC Voon is the founder and principal of District Global Associates. An independent international business consultant and advisor, TC has consulted and worked globally in US, Latin America, Middle East and Southeast Asia. He has a strong background in various technologies, particularly in aerospace and defense systems, weapons, satellite communication and control systems.
Before setting up District Global Associates, TC completed 13 years as Executive Vice President with Vision Technologies (VT) Systems, Inc., a US-based engineering company pioneering new advances in technology for aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine industries, where he was overall responsible for the company’s M&A team. Other responsibilities in VT Systems included business development, where he set up, strategized and managed new offices in Abu Dhabi and Sao Paulo, as well as located fresh markets and clients in US, Latin America and Middle East. He also oversaw various corporate functions, including regional policies, risk management and corporate social responsibilities.
Prior to VT Systems, TC spent over 30 years with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). He held positions such as Commander of Paya Lebar Air Base in Singapore, as well as senior staff officer with responsibilities over strategic plans, operational requirements, war reserves management and weapon systems upgrades. TC capped his career with the RSAF as a Brigadier-General in the role of senior diplomat at the Singapore Embassy in Washington, D.C., where he managed relationships with governmental agencies and defense primes.
TC holds a Master of Public Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery, and a Bachelor of Engineering with 1st class honors from University of London. A graduate of the United States Air Force Air War College, TC also completed the Finance for Executives Program at University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Executive Program conducted by Stanford-National University of Singapore.
