Corinna Yi-Yuan Kuo Shen – Vice President

Corinna Yi-Yuan Kuo Shen was born and raised in Taiwan and is now a prominent Asian American entrepreneur and community leader in the Washington Metropolitan Area. She has over 40 years of experience in business ownership, marketing, public relations and community organizing. She is now serving as President of The Maryland Women and Girls Foundation (WAG). She is also a Representative of US-Asia Links, LLC located in Rockville, Maryland.

Ms. Shen is the owner of Gourmet Inc. T/A Seven Seas which works to promote Chinese cultural awareness through food. She has appeared on numerous shows showcasing Asian food culture. She is also a partner with MIE Group, an International public relations consulting company.

Ms. Shen is a member of the Asian American Advisory Board of Montgomery County, State of Maryland. She has served as Director of Public Relations for the International Leadership Foundation since 2002. She is also a co-founder and Board member of the Washington Chinese Gourmet Association. Ms. Shen is an advisor to the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce Greater Washington DC. She is a board member of APAPA-GDC, the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association. Ms. Shen was appointed to the Maryland Commission for Women in October 2015 and has served as an active member of its Voices of Maryland Women Listening Tour, traveling across the state and meeting with women in almost every jurisdiction. She is the honorary advisor for the Global Federation of Chinese Business Woman, Baltimore Chapter. She has received numerous awards including the Presidential Volunteer Award, a Maryland Governor’s Citation recognizing her leadership and work in the Asian community; she has also received an award from the Department of Commerce for her minority business services and recognition from the Department of Transportation for her Asian outreach.

She is currently living in Montgomery County Maryland with her husband, Edward Shen.
